When Should You Visit a Marriage Counselor? 

When things in your marriage don’t seem right, of course! But it is not an easy task to identify if things are alright. In fact, it is not even easy to identify if you want to stay in the relationship. So, in today’s post, we bring you pointers that indicate that you should see a marriage counselor.

  • You have just too many arguments on a daily basis. You seem to agree on nothing. You and your spouse blame almost everything on each other.

  • You and your spouse do not communicate anymore. You manage to run the household silently. While you do everything to make your domestic life work, you no longer talk.
  • Your spouse wants to end the marriage and you want to save it. Now, you don’t really need to drag your spouse to the marriage counselor; going alone is no less a step towards making your marriage work.
  • Your spouse is not sure if he/she wants to stay married to you. You realize that your spouse is confused and maybe you too are disillusioned but you are not ready to end thing yet.
  • There has been infidelity by one or both the spouses. And yet, you want to save the marriage.
  • You have disagreements about the children from your spouse’s earlier marriage(s) or he/she is not comfortable with your children from your earlier marriage(s).
  • You and your spouse have come to realize that you have different goals in life and absolutely different expectations of your marriage.

These are just broad indicators to tell you that you should seek counseling. If there is anything bothering you about your marriage and you want to stop it from becoming unpleasant, you should approach a marriage counselor.
